CRISTIANO RONALDO TRADEMARK

Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese football (known as soccer in the USA) player who is currently holding down the position of winger for Real Madrid. “CR7” is his fashion trademark which combines his initials with his Manchester United player number.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a star on the rise on the field and in the fashion world for the past 4 years. Recently the fashion giant Armani named Cristiano Ronaldo to replace David Beckham as their signature model for their men’s underwear collection.

CR7 is a fashion boutique that Cristiano Ronaldo opened with one of his sisters in Madeira two years ago. The next store is scheduled to open in Lisbon, with several other stores scheduled for the major fashion hot spots throughout Europe. The minimalist-style store is causing quite a buzz on the fashion scene, with Cristiano himself making several appearances promoting the “metrosexual” trend with a bodacious “CR7” logo that is impossible to ignore.

Part of the allure for the store is attached to his fame playing for Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo’s switch to Real Madrid created some problems as the number “7” belongs to Raúl Gonzalez a player who was hired for life for the team.

There are some questions as to whether or not the name of the boutique will change. But it seems likely that a change to the fashion trademark may be in the works; Cristiano Ronaldo has registered the name “CR9” in respect to the number he was assigned in the Real Madrid.
